"I’ve known Rick for four years, and have walked many neighborhoods with him, getting to know our Kitsap County neighbors. Getting to introduce Kitsap to this caring, professional man has been an honor. I really admire Rick’s tenacity. After not getting elected last time, what does Rick do? He applies and gets accepted as a King County Deputy. He’s been doing the hard stuff!! He’s got his Masters degree in Criminal Science, and is currently working on his Doctorate. Rick didn’t need to do this - he’s a retired Naval officer with 24-years of service. But he cares so deeply about keeping us all safe! About standing up for victims! His Community First Policing plan is in direct response to the type of visible, and present Sheriff he intends to be. He wants to work alongside his deputies, and community partners - that’s all of us - you and me, to put people first.
